What I have is meager,
But I am always eager,
To use what I have for Thee,
For it is the only way I see.
The days are passing,
And what have we done?
Was it something that was lasting?
Or will you come away with none.
You laid it all down on the cross,
So at the end we might not suffer loss.
We are here to take up our own,
So that through it all Your glory will be shown.
I lay it all down at Your beautiful feet,
Even when trials and troubles we meet.
The reward is not in receiving a crown,
But it is in laying it all down.
