Deep in the Soul

No matter how deep the pain,
I can offer up this sweet refrain,
"It is well with my soul,"*
For my life is under His control.


For though I am hurting in the deepest part,
My Savior knows my heart.
Though I am feeling all alone,
He is on my heart's throne.


You are down to your last breath,
Your answer does not lie in death.
Your answer lies in the blood on the cross,
Because your life is not worth the loss.


Though the skies are getting dark,
He is my safety and my ark.
Though the waters have begun to rise,
My salvation within Him lies.

Discerning All

Discern both word and deed,
And by salvation be freed.
For your soul, Satan would lie,
And lead you to Hell to die.


Discern what passeth the eye,
And let not your flesh get by.
For letting go the flesh to sin,
Has brought down many men.


Discern what passeth the ear,
And by Your Word, discern what we hear.
For hear from our Father in Heaven,
That we cannot serve God and mammon.

God Cares More

Satan has tried many things,
And sin by death the soul stings.
He does not care about your eternal state,
His heart is filled with deceit and hate.


I want to tell you about One who cares,
And all your burdens shares,
For His mercy is new every morning,
And I want to proclaim this urgent warning.


Your soul is important to God,
And He will direct you on this earthly sod.
His heart is filled with love and grace,
And He will give the strength to finish the race.

Peace Within

Peace comes from the Lord,
And that through the Spirit is assured. 
Amongst all the world's clamor,
Christ is the answer.

His peace calms life's waves,
And His blood my soul saves.
We all look for calm amongst the storm,
And this peace is outside the norm.

He spoke to the waters and they were still,
And in this thought my soul does thrill.
For peace is not found on this earthly plane,
It is eternal in Christ and there it shall remain.

He knows the thoughts of each long heart,
And there on the cross He did His part.
Look to the Savior and you shall find,
The peace of heart, soul, and mind.

State of the Heart

Hearts, cold and breaking,
Because Satan is overtaking.
Christ can melt the hearts of men,
Christ can free them from sin.


Hearts, warmed and filled,
Never by Satan to be chilled.
Lord, fill with Thy Spirit,
And by Thy Spirit proclaim it.


Hearts, live and beating,
And on our lips now repeating.
Worthy is the Lamb,
Son of God, the great I AM.
