Spent

Giving all that I had to give,
Would they know it in the way I live.
Running here, running there,
May they know I have something to share.

I have given everything,
I rejoice and His praises sing.
To give it all and have nothing left,
Cared for me, safe in the rocky cleft.

What I have is of far greater worth,
Rejoicing His death, resurrection, and birth.
What I have here is but ashes,
But He took my lashes.

He was spent in the garden,
But His heart, He did not harden.
He bore my wickedness and sin,
And remembers them never again.

What will you have in the end?
Will what you have, did you wisely spend?
My treasure will be in Heaven above,
And you will know my Savior's love.

Joy Unending

Joy in my life is overflowing,
Because my Jesus, I am knowing.
I take not for granted, my Savior,
Because He taught me a new behavior.

Joy in the storms and the rain,
And smiling through the pain.
It is hard to joy in every situation,
But remember your salvation.

Joy, when I rise and when I fall,
But I know my God is over all.
My joy does not depend on myself,
But it depends on Christ, Himself.

The Road I Walk

The road that I walk on,
Is rough and filled with stone.
My path is not dark and dreary,
But You lift me up when I am weary.

This road is narrow and unclear,
But I know that God has placed me here.
He has given me a map to this road,
And He helps me to bear the heavy load.

Seek the Lord, and you shall find,
That Christ shall renew your mind.
God gave me a light to light my way,
And He guides me on the path day by day.

Courage Inspiring

Courage to take the role you have been given,
And encourage others by the way you are living.
Courage of the ages past to hold high the light,
And courage to stand for what is right.

Courage that it took to walk up the hill,
And my sacrifice, and my place He did fill.
Courage to take the hurt and pain,
And through it my eternal life to gain.

Courage to love when all seems lost,
Courage to cover all of sin's cost.
Lord, You gave me the strength to stand,
And the courage to reach for Your hand.

Home

Home is a family close,
Home is a place we have chose.
Home is where we gather,
Home with my family together.

My home has increased it's border,
And to take care of them is my first order.
Home is a place to be cherished,
And with your love to be nourished.

Do not leave your home when trouble comes,
Lead it by example, and Praise the Lord for the outcomes.
Lord, help me to lead as You would,
Knowing with You that I could.

Needed

I need not the temporal things,
I need not the riches of kings.
I need someone to guide my life,
I need someone to still my strife.

I need not the wisdom of the world,
I need not the banner of self unfurled.
I need the words of my Savior,
I need them to change my behavior.

I need not the things of the flesh,
I need not sin, but new life afresh.
I need my Savior and my King,
I need Him for everything.

Fallen

We have fallen far from grace,
We have fallen flat on our face.
We have turned our eyes away,
And we have led ourselves astray.

Why have we fallen to the wayside?
Why do we think we can hide?
We have been blinded by our sin,
It is not hidden to God, but to men.

We cannot survive in the world alone,
And we know that we are sin-prone.
You showed me how to rise above,
And You did so by Your love.
