Spent

Giving all that I had to give,
Would they know it in the way I live.
Running here, running there,
May they know I have something to share.

I have given everything,
I rejoice and His praises sing.
To give it all and have nothing left,
Cared for me, safe in the rocky cleft.

What I have is of far greater worth,
Rejoicing His death, resurrection, and birth.
What I have here is but ashes,
But He took my lashes.

He was spent in the garden,
But His heart, He did not harden.
He bore my wickedness and sin,
And remembers them never again.

What will you have in the end?
Will what you have, did you wisely spend?
My treasure will be in Heaven above,
And you will know my Savior's love.

Disconnected

We long to have someone to connect to,
And we want something to see us through.
All the things that might fill us are vain,
And they cannot take away our soul's pain.


We have been cut off by our sin,
And we have been left empty within.
Satan wants to keep us in the dark,
And keep us from salvation's journey to embark.


Do you feel disconnected?
And by the world neglected?
For the world does not care,
And would your thoughts impair.


Do you want connect to something greater?
Do you want to know about your Creator?
He came down from up on high,
And came down and did for us die.

For God has given us as sons the power,*
And has come in our needing hour.
We will reconnect with Him in presence,
And in His presence there will be not hesitance.**

* - "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:"(John 1:12)

** - This day will come soon, when we will all stand in His great presence.

Daylight

Daylight breaks and shines the Eternal Son,
And light shines in the darkness, and souls to be won.
Our light should not be hid,
But we should let others know what Christ did.


Daylight breaks and I see Your beautiful creation,
And I thank the Lord for my salvation.
You are the life and light of all my being,
And You show me what I need to be seeing.


Daylight breaks and darkness doth flee,
For my chains fell off and now I am free.
I love the light of your presence,
And may my light shine with Your resonance.

Hands Down

He created the universe with His own hand,
And now in Christ through salvation stand.
I have been fashioned by His design,
And my life in Him I resign.


He took nails into His hands on the tree,
And through His sacrifice, I am now free.
My eyes were once darkened by sin,
And with His hands He uncovered them.


He drew the waters from out of the deep,
He guided Noah, and his family did safely keep.
With His hands He guided the ark,
And with a rainbow across the sky made His mark.


Hands down, He accomplished a wondrous thing,
And that is why we, His people, His praises sing. 
With His hands He embraces my heart,
And He cares for every part.

Enough

When is enough, enough?
You claim life is rough,
There was no one to turn to,
I have been there with you.


I keep calling out to you,
I know all that you have been through,
Let Me pull you out of the darkness,
And tell you about sin's forgiveness.


The world is not your friend,
Do you want to find that out in the end?
I spilled My blood upon the tree,
My salvation is simple and free.

Enough is enough, and this is My plea:
I am the Truth and I will set you free.
Cast away your sins and I will make you clean,
This offer stands as it always has been.

Faith and Following

Our footsteps in His light,
Keeps our steps aright.
Your glory is ever present,
And Your laws are pleasant.


I trust in what You have spoken,
And You healed my heart when it was broken.
All You asked from me is that I obey,
And You will guide me in the right way.

Happiness is in You, my Lord,
And following Thy Law is my reward.
For obedience is hard I find,
But I seek You in my heart and in my mind.

Looking

We are looking for something to fill this hole,
This part that God has given us called a soul.
We search constantly to find some meaning in this life,
In this world that daily has unwavering strife.


Look to God, the one that created you,
See that He by His power can get you through.
Lift your eyes to see the light that He is shining.
To answer to your soul's pining.


We look at these things that He has written,
And wonder why He for us was smitten?
He thought to save us from all that we have done wrong,
For without Him we are condemned to punishment eternity long.


Look past this veil of darkness that has been put over our eyes,
To see that what we are told by man is made up of lies.
Look to the One that has peace amongst these fleeting days,
To see that He is the only One deserving of our praise.
